Trip to Marrakech – Sourcing mission for decoration & furniture:

Marrakech.
A city like a sketchbook of textures, colors, and light.
A journey conceived as a mission, but experienced as an encounter.

It all began with a 1970s house, deemed too cold, too ordinary.
A concrete block destined to become a reimagined Corsican sheepfold, both mineral and vibrant.
To bring this project to life, it was necessary to go to the source: where the hand, light, and color converse naturally.

Three trips punctuated this adventure:
September 2024: scouting locations and gathering inspiration.
November 2024 and May 2025: on-site purchases alongside the client.
The delivery truck will depart in June 2025, loaded with all that Morocco has to offer: carved wood, weavings, ceramics, lanterns, fabrics, and souvenirs.

In the medina, faces and gestures remain etched in our memories:
Moussa and his father, artisans in the souk, weaving their Berber rugs with patience and pride.
Zineb, the riad's housekeeper, gentle and attentive.
Moustafa, who guided us from one alley to another, trotting faster than our steps.
And so many other faces, anonymous yet radiant, encountered at the farm-hotel where every smile seemed a gift from the sun.

Inspiration is everywhere: in the coolness of a mashrabiya screen, in the latticed shadow of a lantern, in the patina of wood that already tells of many lives.
The legendary palaces of La Mamounia and The Oberoi opened their doors to us, revealing the perfection of exquisite Moroccan craftsmanship.

Each space breathes the same harmony: the artisan's hand, the nobility of the materials, the light filtered through the beauty of the gesture.

I've always believed that inspiration is born from travel.
This journey was one of those that nourishes the eye and the soul, where you return with arms laden with objects… and a heart filled with humanity.

Marrakech is more than just a backdrop.
It's a vibrant emotion.
An endless source of creation,
where every encounter becomes material for beauty.
